    problem with cooker
    tripping out cooker mcb
disconnected one spade connection at a time
    then reset power
discovered that the 2 hot plates on the left hand side were causing it
    have googled replacement parts
just wondering if anyone has experience changing hot plates
is it a pain or easy enough?
    thanks

If you managed to troubleshoot the problem, I'd say you'll have no problem replacing them, if the parts are available it has to be possible. You've already managed to get access to the wiring, can you not see how they are fixed in?
Whats the cost of the parts? can they be sourced second hand from an old hot plate cooker

is this freestanding or a hob?

Have a look at espares.co.uk. They have spares for every conceivable model. If the parts are cheaper locally, buy them locally.

highly unlikely that two plates went faulty together, they probably have a common neutral so you need to check further ideally with a meter, you will get all you need in Tullamore from either Quinns or Exsparetise and both are on the net
