Hi , just bought a 05 avensis hatchback , 2.0 diesel. Everything was grand first couple of days , nice clean car , but last night I lost power to the instrument panel , windows and central locking . Car still drives and everything else is working fine , I've checked all the fuses and they are fine also . Would anybody have an idea of what I'm looking at before I drive it back to the forecourt ? Thanks lads .

I would be checking the chassis earth connections in the driver's kick panel for a starter.

Just took it for a drive there and engine management light came on .
Where is the drivers kick panel? Or is it better left alone and returned to the garage?

If it's still under a warranty, I'd be bringing it straight back to the Garage.

Absolutely, return it if it is still under warranty

Feel like a tit , but I found another fuse panel behind the glove box and low and behold a blown 10 amp fuse .changed it and all running fine again . Though I'd like to know if it's something g blowing it or was it just a once off , no way to tell I suppose . 3 month warranty on it so I'll see what happens .
    Thanks lads .
