Can this be done as a DIY project on the back of a semi detached house? about half an acre of land behind it so not caught for space. Have two engineers in the family who said they would supervise over it if needed. Because its at the back of the house and under the allotted amount of sqft I won't need permission…

Because its at the back of the house and under the allotted amount of sqft I won't need permission apparently so could I literally start laying foundations today?!

I am completely out of the loop of anything construction wise- we've looked at the windows and know what we want and have sourced the blocks.

Obviously have a builder on hand to- so can it be go time? I feel I'm missing something!
