    Hi All,

I was wondering could any of you suggest a hotel or a hotel with self catering lodges - in the 4 star price bracket in Ireland....

    My criteria are:
No more than 2.5 hrs drive from Limerick city
The accommodation needs to be on a lake shore or right by the sea - with sea views/lake views.
Also somewhere with grounds/national park nearby for cycling/hiking.

Its for November this year for a 3 day break with my boyfriend, we are both in our 30's.

Any suggestions welcome. I have already taken a quick look at Wineport lodge and the Lake Hotel Killarney - just to give you an idea of what i am looking for.

Hopefully some suggestions can come from the all knowing Boards.ie!

    Thanks everyone.

The lodge at lizloughrey. It's on the grounds of ashford castle. Stayed there a few weeks back when the weather was beautiful

There's actually a deal on living social now. 2 nights €269 (Breakfast & 3 course meal)

When we stayed there we went for the 3 nights for the price of 2 deal.

I'd steer away from the Lake hotel. We went there for 3 nights (also in our 30s), and it's the only hotel we've ever been in where we left 2 days early. Wasn't for us at all, it was around same time of year and felt like an old folks home. Layout is all over the place too.

The Brehon hotel is across the road and is fab, not sure if it'd have lake views but only a couple of minutes from the national park and lakes.
