Hey guys, had an interview last week & got offered the job of sales rep.
The manager was really nice & I'm all for taking the job, only thing that's putting me off is - it's commission based work.
Has anyone worked for them, or knows what they're like to work for?

I've worked door-to-door sales for 6months, you need to be tough skinned, you will knock on approx 70-80 doors daily, get rejected by over 90%, some reject you nicely others not so much

Ask yourself this, it's a cold wet Wednesday afternoon and your walking around a housing estate after been rejected at your last 10houses and you've still got 4 hours left before you go home, do you have the motivation to keep going?

Sure you will be pumped with fancy sales and motivational quotes in a morning meeting but it means nothing if your not motivated

For me door-to-door sales was a learning curve, I took a lot from it and enjoyed the experience but turnover in companies is massive

It's actually telesales, which I presume might be a bit harder...
Thanks for your insight, it's my first time working in sales- would you have any advice on what to lead with/not say/defiantly say?

I know when I get telesales calls the sales agents all sound like they are reading from a script and have no personality. So try have some wit and charm about you

Also ask open questions and try gather information with every question you ask

You've got nothing to lose in taking the job

    Good luck

Hi, I'm also about to work for Phonewatch. Could the OP (or anyone else) tell me what it's like to work for the company? The whole commission only thing is a little bit of a worry tbh
