"Cars for sale Naas Road" says the header.

Car may be fine, but I'd be going in eyes wide open. ask every question conceivable, do every check, and bring a mechanic who knows their stuff before you even think about doing a deal in the Bermuda triangle.

    From another thread:

The Bermuda triangle of car dealers - here one day, gone the next and back again trading as someone different the day after.

Mileage is very low for the year so make sure to verify the service history rather than just taking a stamped service book as gospel. Manual and cloth seats are less appealing too but really depends on your preference.

yeah on further reflection something like this working out at 12000euro including conversion and vrt would prob be a better option. Would the tax on this be 280 a year or would it be going on engine size?
    thanks for advice thus far

Anything from 2008 onwards will go on the new tax system. I'd be concerned about the timing chain on that vintage of 520d though. The M57 engine in the 525d is much nicer and more reliable too.

Can't understand why a seller would supply 11 photos, but all of the exterior.
Not a single shot of what it looks like inside, which is just as important. Considering its leather, you'd think you'd be showing some pics of it.

What's the story with the chrome trim on the drivers door ?
Looks like the door not closed properly yet looks flush enough on top .

Agree, looks suspicious. Could be the result of a repair job to the door that was done badly. OP might need to bring a bodywork expert along to catch stuff like that.

OP, are you really sure that you want to buy a manual 5 series, especially a diesel? Majority of 5 series buyers want auto so if you buy this car it will always be worth at least 1-2 k less than if it was auto and you might have difficulty moving it on quickly.
