Vw Golf Mk4 failed NCT

    Hi guys my golf failed this morning on emissions only it's a 2000 1.6 petrol the readings are as follows

    HIGH IDLE
    Lambda 1.03 between 0.97 and 1.03 pass
    CO 0.61% above 0.30 fail
    HC 34 above 200ppm fail

    Note the car was not serviced prior to the test and I suspect it's throttle body might have to be cleaned

    What's the question or is that just a statement?

    Service the car, change all filters in the process and clean throttle body.

    Repeat NCT

    Minor exhaust leak located,just passed the retest thank god
