Challenge 142 : High Speed

This challenge is High Speed Photography eg popping balloons, breaking glass, and splashing liquids.

Example

Usual rules apply! Thanks, everybody, and good luck!!

Rules:
- Closing Date is 2 weeks from now (i.e. Friday 24/10/2014 at 11pm).
- Only photos taken with this challenge in mind qualify - therefore the photo must be taken between now ( Friday 10/10/14 at 11pm) and Friday 24/10/2014.
- The photo must be taken by the person submitting it.
- Only one photo per post, but submit as many posts as you like.
- The next task/subject is to be chosen by the person who has the most thanks after their post at the closing date/time.

Thanks, lighting is a big issue especially if you don't have multiple flash guns and photography lamps.

great competition spookwoman, had a lot of fun dusting off some unused gear to take those shots, ill have a think about a new topic and post it up later

Can we have something achievable with a bridge camera please!!!!

Loved this round by the way, but just couldn't compete. I did have a try mind. Bad camera!!! :mad:

When I had a bridge camera it could shoot at 1/1000 of a second......

I'm not sure mine does, but I will look into it. I'm still learning, but most of the club tutorials where I go are based on owning an SLR and a lot of the info does not translate or it just looks different on my camera. Tad frustrating.

Had a bridge and mine could do water drops the hardest part is lighting I had to get 3 lamps to get enough light in

That's interesting too. I've not had a chance to experiment yet due to having 4 essays to write in the last few Weeks (nothing like leaving things till the last minute!), but that is all done now, so lamps, water and camera at the ready! Could be a recipe for disaster lol.
