A light daytime foundation

What would be a good light, daytime foundation. I've been using Rimmel Max Perfection (Ivory colour.) I find that a little bit heavy. Also I seem to have lost it in my room so I have to get another.

So what's cheapish, light and would last all day?

I'm walking a very fine line here, because I'm trans and a little beard shadow might be seen by the end of the day with no foundation. I figure a light foundation with good pigmentation would hide it. So I can't afford to go too light, but I also don't want a heavy look. Just something day appropriate. I've been told I should stick to liquid in that case.

Maybe trying a bb cream might be worth trying. Estée Lauder ( which I know might not be the cheapest) has a good bb cream . It's got the best coverage if the ones I have tried and it lasts throughout the day. Mixing a moisturiser with any foundation will make it more sheer. It might also be worth looking into the bare minerals. Also a concealer like one from collection 2000 might help to reduce the visibility if the shadow. Also remember although u see the shadow and know it's there I bet very few if any others see it. We are unfortunately our own worse critic

I was also going to suggest bare minerals. A little goes a long way in terms of coverage and it's incredibly light. I hate most foundations as they're too heavy but I like something to give me coverage and bare minerals does just that. I've found it works best when you apply the mineral veil or perhaps a translucent powder over it.

Bare minerals original powder foundation is lovely and light, you just have to get used to buffing it in especially if you are used to liquid foundations. It's more pricey than rimmel's offering though

Then's there is bourgeois's healthy mix foundation and newer serum foundation which is always being talked about on blogs for being really light and dewy. I like it, but the colours can run ever so slightly yellow so be sure to blend. I really like them though

Then at the upper end there is estee lauder's doublewear light which promises light coverage that lasts. The feel on the skin is light again with this one. Hope this helps!

Rimmel's 'wake me up' is supposed to be very good and it's nice and light.

I've been using the GOSH All-in-one BB cream the past few months, nice and light but still offers good coverage.
