Looking for a Hi Fi for my wife for Christmas.

Problem is she is fussy and wont want to part with the current one we have which is about 20 years old!

She hates the new ones, she thinks they are too small and not powerful enough!

Can anyone advise where I can purchase a Hifi that looks like its from the late 90`s early 2000`s but has all the latest mod cons like bluetooth and sounds pretty good!

This is the current Hifi we have,

    She hates anything smaller!

    Thanks

The first question is are you keeping your existing speaker's, if so what's their power rating.
Second tape decks are non runner, to my knowledge only one Hi-fi manufacturer makes them.
    Style wise :
Rega's amps and CD player's look like 80's Hifi, dull mat finished with red led "digital" displays but aren't full size on entry level.

Any amp from current manufacturers are more than powerful enough for a mid sized room.

Rotel make two full size amps with Bluetooth, any one else its just an adaptor for connectivity .Yamaha's bigger amp's are plenty powerful the as 1000 for example has classic looking "nobs" which comes in a silver and wood finish and 90w drive.

You might have a bit of trouble find anything that looks exactly like that so your best option might be to build a separates system. Having a look on the richersounds.ie website, some amps look a bit "retro" so you could use those as a basis to build a system around.
