Water damage on ceiling

I was disconnecting the toilet pipes this evening in the upstairs bathroom and after I unscrewed the pipe, I realised I forgot to turn off the water pump down stairs and drowned myself and the room...loads of water on the ground,a lot of which probably went down the hole in the chip floor base (i'm gutting the bathroom to redecorate) where the water pipe comes up from.

Anyway, I got the pump off and did what I needed to do. After an hour or so I was downstairs and noticed that there is now a water mark running down along the ceiling of the kitchen (directly underneath the bathroom). Is this bad news or will it just dry itself and a bit of paint in a few days, will be like new?

    Pics attached

    Thanks for any comments/advice
