new modem

    i've had my modem since 2005 (warranty expiration 28/04/2006)  ! i have been told by an eircom rep that a new modem may improve my speed. apparantly the line Qualifies for upto 5mb (as far as i know we signed up for NGB but linesppeed never changed)
    is it possible to get a new modem ?
