Considering that there's a focus on individual groups being represented in AGS, is it time to revert to calling the girls Bean Gardai again, and when/why did it change in the first place seeing as it's linguistically correct to call one a Bean Gharda ?

Just looking at this in the Met http://content.met.police.uk/Site/metbpa , can you imagine what'd happen if you formed a Met White Police officers assoc. ??

Why? A Guard is a Guard. If that's the case lets call other groups "Oriental Guard", "Sub Saharan African Guard", "Indian Guard"…………it's pointless in my opinion.

The Garda uniform isn't tailored to suit religious/ethnic needs (remember the Sikh who wanted to wear something other than the standard issue hat) and that's a good thing in my book, it's one level where we're different from the UK for once.
