Is car wrapping officially a car's change of colour?

    Hi,

If I have my car re-sprayed to another colour, I must declare that change of colour to the vehicle registration office.

If I have a car wrapped, must I do the same?

The reason I ask this is that many vehicles have advertising and multiple colour wraps temporarily and I doubt they are changing their vehicle colour officially.

The RSA doesn't seem to specify other than stating if you change your car colour, you must declare that. My paint work hasn't changed.

I wouldn't say so. The car itself hasn't changed colour. It's very easy to undo and go back to the original colour. Getting a respray is totally different.

No. Only a change of colour declaration required when it's a permanent change. Wrapping is classed at temporary.
