The traditional approach to hunting has been to smell, sound or appear as something familiar to prey – through cover scents, calls and camouflage patterns of sticks and leaves. GORE™ OPTIFADE™ Concealment is the first concealment system designed around animal vision and not human eyesight.

Unlike mimicry camouflage, GORE™ OPTIFADE™ Concealment prevents your prey from recognizing you as a predator – even if detected – making you NOTHING in their eyes.

That's the Science of Nothing. That's how we changed the game for spot-and-stalk and tree stand hunters alike.

    Next: Gore's Scientific Approach

Few interesting video clips on the page to let you see how deer see in forest and in open woodland.

I can't see how this is going to be superior to the woodland patterns available at present. I think staying motionless is better than any camouflage.

Pretty interesting. But how does a deer cries rubbish and burned out cars? :P
Only saying it because I seen a load of rubbish and burnt out car up on my permission last week.

It's just a fad follow through on the digital camo. Waste of money.

Here's a tip. Don't move and stay downwind.

I don't bother wearing camo. I know I don't shoot deer or anything but I generally go hunting in me black snickers clothes. Black all over

Always take the Press Releases about a new hunting camo with a large pinch of salt.

The first place a hunting camo has to work is on the rail in the shop (ie, look attractive enough to the hunter to make him pay for it).

Deer can't fill in Customer Comment Cards, so you really have to look for reports from hunters who have used it. Not so easy if the camo is brand new.

Nobody really knows what deer can see, it's a best guess really. The old story about them being unable to see orange was a total crock. They can probably see it as well as anything else, it just doesn't mean anything to them. But movement...

When they come up with camo gear that I can't even find in the shop, I'll buy it!
