    Via PWInsider.com

    Dark Matches:

    *Paul Heyman cut a promo.

    *Tyler Breeze defeated Xavier Woods.

*NXT champion Adrian Neville defeated Sami Zayn.

    Smackdown:

Smackdown opened with Stephanie McMahon cutting a promo about the history of Smackdown. John Laurinaitis returning, talking about how he controlled the most important era of Smackown, the era of People Power. This led to Teddy Long returning to confront Laurinaitis. Stephanie announced they would settle it with a 7 vs. 7 Team Johnny vs. Team Teddy tag match. Adam Rose showed up trying to start a party but Stephanie told Rose he would be facing Kane tonight.

    *Kane defeated Adam Rose.

*WWE Divas champion AJ Lee defeated Alicia Fox.

*Seth Rollins (with Mercury and Noble) defeated Kofi Kingston.

*Rusev defeated WWE Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler in a non-title bout.

*They aired a backstage segment with The Rock, HHH and Stephanie McMahon talking Smackdown history. They noted that they wrestled on the first Smackdown and talked about the idea of having another bout. This looks to have been taped backstage in Brooklyn at Raw.

*Team Teddy Long - WWE United States champion Sheamus & Mark Henry & Los Matadores & The Usos & Torito & Jack Swagger defeated Team Johnny - The Miz & Damien Mizdow & Bo Dallas & Slater Gator & WWE Tag Team champions Goldust and Stardust & Bo Dallas & Hornswoggle. Booker T, JBL and Michael Cole, as well as the babyfaces, did Spinaroonies after.

*They brought out Rollins and Kingston again, so they are re-taping something that didn't go right earlier.

*The main event segment is MizTV with Dean Ambrose and John Cena. They went back and forth before beating up The Miz.

    Dark:

*John Cena and Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins and Kane. Ambrose took the mic after and said he grew up in Philly and lost some teeth here and loved this place

    Teddy Long  Playa, playa!

Sounds pretty disappointing for a 15th Anniversary show given the effort they go to with the Raw ones. A Lauranitis and Long appearance are hardly anything to get excited about...

Would guess we'll get more videos through the show.

This is end of Adam Rose's main roster undefeated streak.

Must be weird for the fans when that happens.

If only it was a Loser Leaves Town match with a double countout.

Pissed off that this is how the 15th Anniversary was presented.

Smackdown was by far the better show for a Long, Long time - much better than Raw. When Paul Heyman was in charge, Smackdown was must see TV, each and every week. And now, it's a Raw Recap show with a few matches sprinkled in.

Some of ye may not like this:
We noted before that there will be a backstage segment with The Rock, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on this Friday’s SmackDown. A match between Triple H and The Rock was teased in that segment and at least one other time during the tapings.

Rock vs. Triple H was discussed at one point for WrestleMania XXX but obviously didn’t happen.

The backstage segment that airs on Friday’s SmackDown shows the two going back and forth over who would win if they wrestled again and the two taking shots at each other. Rock actually brought up the main event of WrestleMania 31 and WWE usually doesn’t tease something in that direction if it’s not in the plans.

    Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

In fairness Rock tore pretty much every muscle off his torso in his last match and Triple H is a safe pair or hands who Rock has wrestled before.

    Loser retires match.

It'd be pretty nostalgic for a lot of people. They feuded on and off from 97-00 pretty much. More great matches then I can count.

The main reason I would be against it would be that in his role as the main authority / boss figure who is also capable of wrestling very few can make a new star like he can by putting someone over at wrestlemania a la Bryan last time. HHH vs Ambrose would make much more sense at the moment.

That said if Rock said he would do another mania assuming it was with a safe pair of hands he had worked with before they would be idiots to do anything but set up a match such as him vs HHH.

    Special Guest Referee: Stone Cold.

I wouldn't be against Rock v HHH at WM31 at all tbh. I'm curious as to how they'd do the build up.

It isn't just the Rock himself either you have to factor in movie companies who are making large capital investments on films which are project managed to every tiny detail. Rock would be in real trouble if an injury delayed filming.

The 15th anniversary of Smackdown is in April since that was the first time it aired, had the "classic" Smackdown theme and everything though I know it didn't air full time til around this time.

Super fun episode of Smackdown this week. Will leave you happy rather than drained like a lot of Smackdowns can do. The opening segment, the huge multi man tag, the Cena-Ambrose confrontation were all really good. The Rock and Triple H backstage thing is a must watch.

Very surprise they left in all the boos for Cena.

Still think they should have E&C do Smackdown instead of that other thing they did on the Network

Triple H and The Rock was great.

Would love a match between them at mania, with no streak and no stand out must do match at this stage it would make a lot of sense.

Enjoyed Mark Henry doing the Teddy Long walk

So Ambrose well aware of the Nope meme since he did the Yep?

And for some reason I now like Adam Rose. Or at least when Steph dances to his music. :D

Smackdown moments: This is what the show used to be.

He's referenced it before but didn't make it a thing or do it death.

Didn't Ambrose say he found the whole IWC community ridiculous and avoided it.

How would he know his "Nope" has spawned so many memes? :pac:
