I've a large insert stove that unfortunately causes cracks in the chimney breast plaster --- I'm looking for ideas on some sort of tile / marble surround to cover these cracks permanently -- while it I think it looks very well at the moment its a pain replastering and painting

Hi, does the wall feel very very hot around the cracks when the fire is on?

My brother got a morso inset stove similar to yours and got the chimney pots lined/insulated as the installer was concerned about plaster cracking if he didnt.might be the same issue or else you may have a leak.
