Hi, was considering getting one of these for my little guy who will be 3 in November. Don't really know anything about them at all tbh. I would want it more for educational purposes than watching movies or games etc. There is a pink one on sale in argos for €75. while the green one is coming in at €177. Not sure if either of those prices is a mistake but I think they usually come in around the €130 mark.

Anyway basically if this is a good deal I'll get one. Does anyone have any experiences with these? Would you recommend them? Did your little ones enjoy them? Did you find the games educational? And do you think it is a good buy for €75?

    Thanks :).

Personally speaking, I think I'd go for an android tablet over one of these. At least then the games are free or even low cost. Your little one won't get bored with an android tablet, and you won't spend a fortune buying new games when existing ones loose their appeal.

Also you mention movies etc. Trust me I've been there...better to have the option on a tablet should that change, and from experience it will ;-)

For 77 quid- you are not going to get a decent robust android tablet.
These things are the JCB of tablets- they are built to be abused by children.
Yes- the games are expensive- but, speaking as father to a 4 and 5 year old- they are the sort of things that they will come back to again and again.

These are designed for young children- and are up to taking a hell of a lot more abuse (within reason) than any android tablet I've owned (and I've had various android tablets over the last 7 years).

The only major thing that can go wrong with these- if they're abused- is the digitizer can get damaged- thats the issue most likely to happen- and if you damage a digitizer- its cheaper to buy a new tablet and start from afresh- than it is to try to repair it.

Android tablets have their place- yes- however, in the hands of young children- is not where they are supposed to be........

Honestly i think they're brutal yokes. Got one for about 6 months for my 2 year old. Luckily managed to sell it. I think your better off getting a cheap android tablet with a robust cover. Then you can download all the apps you want.

That said the woman i sold it too loved it !
