Where is it? Can't find link to pictures/video. I am viewing one shortly and have the OBD2 reader handy to check for faults.

Google 'w210 obd' and you'll find what you're looking for. The current E200 is a W212, the model you're looking at is a W210.

Thanks lads. I took it anyway. Seems OK. TBH, I just needed something with tax and nct with an autobox, because I can't drive a manual due to an accident this year. I don't plan to keep it long and would not normally buy a car in the dark, but I got her for 800e and after about 5 months of not driving, I was losing my mind. Don't be surprised if it's up on bangernomics in the next couple of weeks. I'll clean her up and be happy to get what I paid :D

So, I haven't had much time to use the car, but this is what I know so far.

There is very little rust on her. A small bit of blister on the O/S wing and N/S front door at the corner.

The speedo lights were no working, but a thump on the dash tuned half of them on, so there is just a loose connection hopefully :P

The washer fluid reservoir is not reading that there is water.

The O/S rear window is not working. Seems to be a common problem with the regulator. It opens a crack, but that's all.

There might be an issue with the cruise control. It works, but a "VISIT SHOP" error message popped up when I tried adjusting the speed. Some forums say that uneven tyre pressure can cause this issue, so I don't know what to do there.

Front O/S fog and rear N/S fogs are dead. New bulbs should fix that hopefully.

It only has one laser key and no key to open the door if the battery died.

On the positive, it seems like a great car and is super comfortable. Haven't found any issues inside, aside from the plastic bit missing from the drivers seat to move the seat forward/backward. She is very clean. Tyres are all good. It even has a sealed, original first aid kit in the arm rest :pac:

    Engine bay is spotless too.

It has NCT til February and is Taxed til November.

Overall, I am pretty happy with the purchase, but I don't see myself keeping it long. It is just too big and kind of impractical. If it was estate version, I would keep it. I am just not a fan of saloons. I like to be able to put the dogs in the boot and I think animal welfare people would stone me to death if I put them in the boot of a saloon. I wouldn't put them in the back seat, because it's not safe. I reckon I will probably sell her in a week, or two, but I will do my usual and fix the little niggly things that will annoy me in the mean time.

I know it is a little late to chime in but if you want to get the codes from the OBD you will need the correct Mercedes diagnostic machine, those hand held readers are not much use and will only give basic engine trouble codes. With regards to the cruise control uneven tyres would be a good start or a faulty brake switch , even if the brake lights work
