Balheary pitch access

Every time I go to the Balheary pitches in Swords I'm amazed not only by the poor parking facilities but more so by the lack of pedestrian access to the pitches, especially from alongside the R132 where you're basically forced to park. There's a stone wall approximately 1.2m high along the full length, with no openings at all.

How do "they" expect people to gain access to the pitches? Are these pitches owned by FCC? What is the best way to highlight this problem in order to get it addressed?

There are 2 pedestrian access points along the R125 - one near the junction with the R132 and the other over near the skate park. Vehicular access (for mowers etc) is also near the skate park.

The lack of pedestrian access to/from the R132 may be deliberate especially in pre-motorway days as it would not be wise to have lots of children exiting beside a busy dual carriageway.
