Sony Xperia M2 Water damage

    Hi guys,

My Sony Xperia M2 was left in a pair of wet trousers overnight (Wasn't submerged) and surprise surprise isn't turning on anymore :(

I hoovered it to try and pull out any moisture and I've now left it in a bag of rice and porridge oats (not sure if that'll do any good but worth a try)

I plugged it into the charger and the notification light came on in red, flashed a bit and SONY came up on the screen for about a second and went away.

It did this repeatedly while it was plugged in but wouldn't turn on after being plugged out.

Would ye say I've any hope or should I bite the bullet and get a new phone?

Thanks a million for any help

Generally you should leave it 24hrs or even a couple of days before trying to power it up.

I've known wet phones to come back to lift after a few weeks/months in press. But I think they've always been a little flaky. But that's just my own experience.
