    Hi Folks

Haven't seen this issue referenced anywhere else so here goes.

My mother's car in the title car above has had the driver's seatbelt partially chewed by the dog (the little sh*te did the same to my car, but not as bad:)), and it is bad enough for it to fail the NCT.

I'm semi-handy with DIY stuff on cars, but this is a new one on me.

Would it be possible to get a spare assembly from a breakers or eBay or somewhere? Is this a huge job or a matter of a few bolts? Is it the whole assembly or could the belt just be replaced?

There are no sensors or any indicators warning that seatbelts aren't fastened, but would there be something connected to the airbag mechanism that detects when the belt is jerked hard in a crash? In that case I would imagine it would have to be done by a main dealer meaning €€€ for my 77 y.o. Mam. Or would the collision detection be somewhere at the front of the car?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    S
