Hi, can anyone tell me about the legalities of using photos from premiership games on a blog I'm setting up? I'm planning to use Google ads so that makes it commercial, right?

I noticed that some major websites like BBC will source their photos "Gettty images" etc.

But take this joe.ie sports articles for example (I'm not allowed post links here for some reason) do they have to pay to use there football pics ?

Unless you took the photographs yourself they would be subject to copyright and licensing.

Getty and others provide content licensing to media outlets.
