Girlfriends cousin brought her phone up to me to look at last week. She broke the screen a while ago and her boyfriend tried replacing it but couldn't put it back together.

I hadn't a clue what screw went where so measured them with a vernier caliper and used what screws were there to put it back together. It seemed to be working fine but the next day the screen was acting like there was random taps, opening apps or pressing different keys on the keyboard. She has since dropped it again and the screen cracked afterwards.

Is your question why it would tap by itself randomly? Not sure but if it wasn't put together properly it can trigger all kinds of weird stuff when the electronics aren't lined up properly.

Tell her to get an otterbox for the next phone...
