    Hi,

I am buying a set of sofa at moment. Looking at the L shape sofas.

after few shops visiting i am a bit confused.

Do anyone know how Arnotts sofas are compare to Harvey Norman?

The average price in Arnotts is nearly twice more expensive than Harvey Norman.

Is there a good reason behind? Is Arnotts sofa twice better than Harvey Norman? They nearly look the same!!

    Thanks,

I can't really comment as to those specifics but I would ask if you have actually gone and tried sitting on both or if you have just looked online to price.
The reason I ask is I had a similar dilemma a few years ago. I decided to visit the budget store (not Harvey Norman btw) and was shocked at how cheap and flimsy the couches there were. I ran out of the place. :-)
So my advice would be to test them to be sure.

Generally down to the difference in brands, better quality, more expensive, simple.

I bought two sofas in Arnotts a few years ago. They were expensive but the idea was that they would last. Well they were a bad buy. The back cushions flattened to the point that you'd need loads of cushions behind you to sit. I can't afford to replace them yet but I can't wait to. In contrast, my sister has had a sofa she bought in chapel street about 18 years ago and it's still the most comfortable couch I've ever sat on. It really needs to be recovered but is perfect apart from that.

The moral of the story is that you don't always get what you pay for.
