So with all this expansion in the dairy sector there is a farm up the road from me going to be rented out. The fella thats gonna be renting it is milking near 200 cows on it and another farm next year and for the summer i was hoping to see could i get a part time job milking. Dont know this new lad , Im only 15 by the way.Have experience with cattle but not particulary milking although done it a couple of times. So basically whats the best way about going about asking, what money and what do ye like to see, thanks

Call up to him and ask . You won't know until then . I think offer to do a few milkings with him for free aswell to see if you like it and to let him see if you are suitable for the job

Don't expect to be put milking straight away, but if u show a bit of interest in any yard work I'm sure u'll be in the pit before long. Good luck
