    Every time i text my gf and she replies , it comes up at an email received , even tho she sent a text , doing my head in , any idea what the issue is ?

    Go too her settings and imessage and turn off the email as "send and recive at"

    I am my family and friends apple go to guy. And 99% of issues I could fix for them except this on most of them. The problem is that their number is greyed out and you cannot unstick the email addressing don't know how to fix it for them.

    If their number is greyed out and unchecked in iMessage settings that means it hasn't been verified and activated with Apple's servers. Disabling and re-enabling iMessage should sort this. If not it could mean another number is already associated with that Apple ID, perhaps as a result of them sharing Apple IDs.

If not it could mean another number is already associated with that Apple ID, perhaps as a result of them sharing Apple IDs.

    On the phone in question I turned it off for 24 hours. Done reset and restore to no avail.

    But you may have hit something, she did syncs it with a few iTunes accounts to "share" music.
