Travel to Spain (Madrid & Barcelona) with 3 children

    Hi there,

    I've got so great response from boards.ie for my travel tips/plan to USA & Canada recently.
    I have plan to visit Spain during my kids Haloween week off from School during last week of October (27th of October).

    Friend of mine has 1 bed apartment in Madrid where I can get free for upto 5 days and want to stay 4 days in Barcelona where I would book a hostel / hotel.

    Would you please suggest / share your experience to travel to Madrid and Barcelona in 7 to 10 days total?

    Can I ask how what could be seen in days in Madrid in 5 days and what not to be missed there?

    What types of clothes we should bring with us during these dates regarding weather there?

    Since we will be travelling with two toddlers (6 years and 5 years old) and one infant (18 months old), any suggestion while travelling to these two cities of Spain?

    Is Food of good value or expensive in Madrid and Barcelona?
    Hows shopping and is it expensive or cheaper than Ireland?
