ESR Cut Question

I've already had a 2 shot ESR cut a few months ago and played a blinder today, shooting gross 77 net 64 (par 71) off 12.6.

I've worked out my cut to be 0.3 for the first shot below CSS and the 6 x 0.2 for the next 6 shots bringing my new handicap to 11.1.

My question is will I also get another ESR for this score, but this will only be my 3rd ES? Do I have to get another ES to get cut? It's probably my last counting competition before winter rules so I was hoping to get cut as much as possible for the winter and set a new target for next year's season.

as far as I know you would need another round to trigger a 2nd esr. I think it resets after the first one is applied

I think it's rolling... As in there'll be another ESR on the way.
The second round counts as the first in the next sequence.

What was your ND in second round and how many rounds ago was that?

"The ESR works as follows. When a player returns a qualifying score of 4 better than CSS or more in a calendar year this triggers an initial ESR marker. An ESR calculation will be made the next time the player returns a qualifying score of 4 below CSS or better. This second qualifying score will also set a new trigger for any subsequent return of another low score when the count within the ESR process would be repeated."

I'd have to look it up. Not sure what you mean by ND.
I was cut 1.5 for the comp and an additional 2.0 ESR. It was a couple of months ago. Went from 16.0 to 12.5. Then I went down to 12.2 and back upto 12.6.

Just waiting for it to come up on howdidido. So will it be another 2.0 shot cut. That means I would be 9.1. Holy jaysus.... My next year's target was going to be 9.4 in time to play in the Junior Scratch Cup.

    Fingers crossed.

Nd is net difference (or differential) so your ND for the first in this sequence is ND-5 and todays ND is -7.
It definitely won't be another 2 full strokes. If you've play more than 9 rounds since your last one then it's a. 0.5 ESR, and if you've played less that 9 rounds since then it's 1.0 ESR.

And you wanted to play off 20 in the boards outing in roscrea. For shame! ;)

First was a 66 and then a 65. First in May and second in July. I would have played in competitions every week.

    Hmmm....
Well I started on 18, which was my official handicap at that time. Figured nowhere & with 3 x 0.5's, it went to 20. Then cut from 20 to 12 in one round and would have won if I had at least my 3 x 0.5's but they seem to not count.

For me, it seemed a bit of a harsh punishment, albeit I realise I was in an unusual position, but them's are the breaks.

Well, it's up on howdidido for the competition which was October Monthly Medal. I won it with a 64. New handicap is 11.1.
No sign of the ESR as yet.

    You were correct.
    0.5 ESR. Down to 10.6.
