Birdwatching in Waterford City

Hi Everyone, I've just moved to Waterford City and am looking for a local patch to do some birdwatching. I don't have a car so ideally it should be somewhere within walking distance of the city centre. Is the People's Park any good? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Here's a handy place on the Tramore road and you also have a walkway through Killbarry bog across the road from it.
