    Guys,

Can anyone tell me what is the craic with having rented land if going for a herd number?? I have land rented for horses but just pay cash for the grass each year so no tenancy agreement etc.
Have sheds (stables) around the house and other sheds which could be converted for cattle. (would just be bedded, no slats)

Anyway, my main question is what proof would i need to show to the department that i am renting the land??.

Also, im 26, is there grants i would be capable of applying for to make improvements to existing buildings at home and then maybe fencing on the rented land??

You need a rental agreement/contract, they usually want it to be a minimum of 3yrs lease, any kind of shed so long as it will comfortably house one sick animal will suffice, nothing fancy required, and a Crush and penning area-the pen could be the shed also

good man, mobile crush be easy bought and a stable would suffice. I will speak to the guy i rent off to see if he would be open to a lease. do they always need to be on this land??

shed and crush has to be on land under your maps, you can have more land 100 miles away with no crush shed, it wont affect getting herd no.
