Has anyone heard anything about Waterford Glass 're-opening'? Taking on 9 people? Is this in the Waterford Crystal centre or is there more to it?

its a non story really. there taking on a few apprentices for cutting blowing, engraving etc as it takes a number of years to train people up and they lads they have at the moment are in their late 50s early 60s so it they leave it any longer there wont be anyone left. they will all be working in the showrooms on the mall

I believe what ever date it 'reopened' it is under contract for seven years to produce crystal in Waterford. After that it will be sold on to a third party so I hope the city council have plenty of euros in the safe to purchase it.

But then again there is always scope to increase the property tax!!
