    Anyone have one of these with a 5 speed gearbox plus reverse and the gearstick is marked with 6 speeds plus reverse?? Very unusual flaw for VW, I would have thought???

    Not a VW transporter........I went to pick up my new VW Jetta a few years ago. Salesman brings me out and I sit into the drivers seat. I glance down at my 6 speed gear knob and see a 5 speed gear knob looking back at me. Had to take the car for a test drive to ensure it had 6th gear. Took them 2 days to source a replacement and I got a free boot liner out of it. I have to admit I was surprised that it happened.
