    My Philips hi-fi turns on and nothing else happens the cd drive won't even open
    Can anyone help me

    In my experience, when electronic equipment acts up, it's time to bin it for a new one. Nobody wants to fix these things these days.

    I don't really want to bin it as it's a good hi-fi I've had it for 4 year now and it's only been used about 10/15 times

    No offence, but it can't be that good if you only have it 4 years , only used 10/15 times yet it's broken. Is it older ie 2nd hand??

    It's a Philips got it new think I might go for a different make the next time thanks for ur help
