DPC_Watchdog_Violatiom

    My laptop is keeps getting the BSOD and the error is Dpc_watchdog_Violation . laptop isnt even usable at time

    Running Windows 8.1 if that makes a difference. Laptop turns on OK but after a minute or 3 it freezes and then the Blue Screen comes up with Dpc_watchdog_violation as the error

    Have you tried booting into Safe Mode? If so, does the same problem occur?
    Have you installed/updated any hardware and/or drivers recently? If so have you tried using System Restore to revert to your previous configuration?
    Do you have the full details of the STOPmessage, including what caused it and/or the location of a minidump file with more information?

    I installed AVG antivirus last week and the problems began after that, so then I removed that and haven't had any problems since

    Am having the exact same issue.
    Thought it may have been a problem with my SSD.
