    Trabants for the 21st century. Maybe the timing chain, crankshafts and swirl flaps will all be fibreglass too.

    Doesn't carbon fibre reinforced plastic sound so cool and futuristic compared to fibreglass.

    The one thing I didnt want to hear about bmw is that they were planning on taking more quality out.
    Where will all this emissions crack end. They are fighting a battle that cant be won anyway as the tax bands will continue to be set at a given revenue level anyway.

    Yes, reckon that hitting car makers on CO2 emissions is starting to hit diminishing returns. German car makers are becoming very vocal about this and enlisting the German government to lobby the European Commission.

    The elephant in the room is what's being done to reduce emissions from, say, aviation, shipping, and agriculture? Cars are a soft target.
