Was just wondering about this new system where you can now get your car test at any time and be given a year or two nct from date of test.

My car is over 10 years so I get a years test. My nct is vaild until 23 March 2015.

Is there any real advantage if I was to get it tested this month or should I just wait, What ye think?, Anyone done this already?

Unless you are planning on selling it now then not really. However if you get it tested from 23rd of January you will get the new cert until 23rd March 2016.

ya I know thanks, but I think its 90 days so from around 23rd of December.

Ya great idea for people selling a car that is close to nct date renewal. They will get a better price.
