Front door panel

I hope this is in the right place because I'm fcuked...

My delightful boyfriend got locked out of the house last night and decided it would be a great idea to kick in the front panel of the front door. From what I can tell it was glued in place so there's no real damage to the door itself.

Can anyone suggest a place that can fix it or ways I can fix it myself? Or would it be better just to get a new door? I live in a particularly dodgey part of Dublin and I really need a safe door :)

Any and all suggestions/recommendations are welcome. I'm not really familiar with this forum, so if anything doesn't comply with any rules, feel free to move or delete.

    Is it a wooden door?

Sorry I should have said. It's a wooden door, relatively light and I have no clue what type of wood.

A wooden door does simplify things considerably - in that most handy guys / carpenters could do the job.

I take it your bf wont be fixing it? I'm also guessing from your user name that this is rented accomodation? If not your insurers would most likely have a 24hr call out guy and then arrange repair.

Is the panel that your bf kicked in, intact? If it is, it was held in by moulding on four sides and glued in.

    A couple of commercial repairers:

It's in one solid piece. I'm actually going to mangle him, I swear. He got up and now thinks he can fix it himself so off to woodies it is.

Thank you so much for the suggestions. They'll come in handy when he can't fix it... thanks again, sincerely.
