Recently had a new fireplace installed where there wasnt one before, it was just boarded up. I had a look up the chimney after they finished and noticed the pipes still there ffrom the old back boiler that was removed. Should they be sealed up in some way, should the gap in the wall that they pass through be sealed better? or wont it matter?
