This seems like a pretty decent price for the mileage? And owners are reporting mpgs
Between high 30s and early 40s for motorway driving.

I'm not sure but I reckon the black roof is a modification, would it
Cost a lot to go back to standard? Is there any other modifications?

Is it a bit too boy racerish looking the way it is?

Can you not post a hyperlink. Really annoys me when people post links but not hyperlinks.

Sorry I don't have anything to say about car.

No, as a new user I cannot post hyperlinks.

It really annoys me when people don't use proper punctuation, does it annoy you?

First mod for me would be a remap ! :D

Should at least bring it up to 280 hp .

My brother has the new A4 Quatteo 180 hp TDI DSG, quattro is amazing, mental grip even using launch control to it's full potential !

That wasn't long selling. It's up on carzone as a sold car. If you Google Audi a5, Harford motor company, balbriggan it comes up. Looks very nice!

    NIce, I like Audi's in white !

These pics will probably be gone soon as it's taken off carzone.

The black wheels look great with the white.

Don;t think you have to spec it, standard on all dsg afaik.

180 hp TDI isn't slow ye know. ;)

No but it isn't exactly going to spin the world backwards is it? Launch control was originally made to give the fastest take off by controlling tyre spin in high powered cars / to assist the average ferrari driver who isn't skilled enough to control it themselves. Seems a bit out of place on a standard diesel a4.

Anyway that's off topic. A5 3.0tdi quattro coupe. Lovely car. The ads gone though?

maybe you got the wrong idea about what it is ? not trying to be smart.

Launch control gives you faster take off, because power is already applied, you don't have to wait for revs to build or clutches to engage etc. Just lift off the brake and you're off.

It works quiet well but it't a whole lot better with quattro. It's great for pulling out of junctions on busy roads or at roundabouts.

Launch control was not designed for pulling out junctions on busy roads lol Any competent driver should be able to master that fete.

Originally it was only in F1 cars. These days its so fat bald rich guys in ferraris don't leave half their rear tyres on the road when they floor it at the lights.

I've no idea how it could be any use in a 180ps A4. Then again I will confess to having never driven a diesel car that has a DSG gearbox or launch control.

Never heard of launch control on an Audi. Perhaps an R8 (if even), but an A4 ? Are you thinking of the electronic handbrake perhaps - hold it, rev the knickers out of it and let go ?

All DSG cars post 06 have launch control.

You learn something new every day! How do you activate it ? Is there a button ? Do DSG VWs and Skodas have it too ?

Great. Just bought a DSG equipped Yeti. Can't wait to try it out in that.

Manuals have it too. Rev it when stopped, if the revs are limited you have your answer. Diesel Leon I have even has it. Never used it mind.

Never said it was designed for it mate, I just explained how it works.

Don't see how you could find that funny ? If you think it's funny drive an automatic diesel and then use launch control you'll see it makes a world of difference. No lag , no manual can do it as good either.

WRC Rally have been doing it manually for years and its never held them back very long :pac:

If you want launch however, do it in a GTR. Boom.
