    Hey Guys,

Anyone here in the reserves? i see they are accepting applications at the moment. i always wanted to join the army but a career got in the way :)

I work shift work so im just wondering what the commitments are like, is it flexible etc.

I'm currently in the process of getting fit again and think this might also be of benefit. I cant seem to find anything online regarding work commitments other than the fact that you are expected to do 24 parades a year etc:

The RDF are recruiting at the moment. Parades are made up of weeknight training and weekend training. If you have an interest in it, my advice is to go for it. There will be plenty of people there working shift too and once you can make a effort to attend training when your off, you want have a problem. I spent 15 years in the reserves and they were the best years of my life, the skills and contacts I gained have served me well since.

However, this thread would be better answered in the military forum..
