Just had the weirdest thought there while reading an article related to this there. Never occur end to me before.
Is there an emotional equivalent of synaesthesia.
Like seeing/tasting etc emotions like love/anger/fear etc.
    That would be insane.

I'm off to Google it obviously but just wanted to get insights here as well.

Was looking for insights into this.

"Like seeing/tasting etc emotions like love/anger/fear etc."

Not insane.. normal to me?.. well in my case and many others who I know.. it is usually a case of seeing and sensing emotions rather than tasting.. (clairvoyance/clairsentience)

e.g using your clairvoyance sense you may see colours and those colours can ignite emotions... (dependent on colour, depth, shade etc - the deeper the shade the deeper the emotion normally, shades can depict different types of emotions/actions/abilities too)

Like pink will ignite a loving sensation.. you may feel like sparkles of very light ecstastic energy ... the sensation of warmth, happiness and joy etc. Usually felt throughout the body.. Divine love is white & feels like a static energy etc.

Red may ignite an emotion of anger and it will be a deeper like heavier more negative type of energy.

Also, for example if you get two colours.. it can be a fear with anger.. like black/red etc.. deep rooted anger arising from fear... red/green can be anger but if its seen as lighter in colour with green .. its in process of healing.

Process is normally universal but colours & sensations can differ as it can be unique to each individuals perception/life/emotional experiences.

    That's my insight anyhow.

Clairvoyance can be classified as clear seeing (beyond normal perception) using ones intuition/natural abilities.

Most will not understand it unless you experience it.. so hence the confusion.. but it is not to say it cannot be done.. everyone has clair senses -- just depends on ones abilities and how they use/train them..

Spiritualists are trained to read discarnate emotions/behaviours etc in various ways (energy based) .. same as psychologists (incarnate) .. you can apply different techniques to both .. that is why some psychologists attend psychic colleges and vice versa in order to educate themselves on the other possibilities .. there is more than one way to skin a cat! ;o)

Rayanne2010, we discuss psychology as a science here - the science of the mind, the science of behaviour. We are interested in the scientific investigation of human behaviour, the search for evidence, for rigorous discovery, the development of hypotheses which can be tested both in the lab and in real life settings.

I think what you are referring to is parapsychology, which is a different kettle of fish altogether.

It can be classed as parapsychology as well as normal psychology - as well as transpersonal psychology.. dependent on the situation/environment.. (i.e. can be used in real settings also)..

I was just raising awarensess as to the possibility that it can be done.. :) not so insane afterall... :)

Have you any references for this? I find this very hard to believe.

A lot of people can have difficulty differentiating emotions. Also it is common to see people expressing conflicting emotions. Crying with happiness is a good example. Emotional processes are quite complex and I would speculate that there are many people who experience the emotional equivalent of synaesthesia.
