Crash question

    Hey guys

Quick question and I probably know the answer but just going to check anyway.

Last Wednesday my wife came out to the little car park of a school where the kids were doing an activity and she noticed damage to her car. It was minor enough but clearly someone had scraped off it getting out. No one was around so obviously she was a bit annoyed.

Anyway she went again this week to collect the kids and she mentioned it to one of the leaders in case someone had said it to them. No one had but the leader said that they have CCTV and would ask the care taker to dig it out.

Even if we can identify the car is there actually anything you can do? There isn't serious damage so I guess going to the guards is a waste of time.

    Cheers in advance.

The guards won't care since no-one got hurt. And you can't get the name of the owner (if you can see the reg) from them anyway.

But you can perhaps see what car it is and if you see them again mention it (they'll probably deny it).

I beg to differ.I was accused of scraping a car in a car park(I didn't) and the guards got me to come in to the station to give paint samples from my bumper.

You must have scraped the wrong car, wife of a Grad, local politician or someone with some influence, because I don't see them caring otherwise.

I had something similar last year. I was getting a trade in price on a car in a VW dealer in Cork. Someone hit my car when I was inside and it was all captured on CCTV bar the reg. Plenty of witnesses but no one for a reg. The guards came up and took me with them to look at CCTV in nearby businesses and couldn't have been more helpful.

Didn't catch the cnut (salesman in the garage knew them - must have been a customer) but if you have CCTV and can get even a partial reg I'd call them and report it.
