Small request - Date query

    Hi all

About 25 years or so I was watching "Defence of the Realm" in my granny's house in Navan.

It would have been on RTE or maybe UTV or Channel 4. Then again it could have been BBC1 or BBC2.
I know it was definitely not on Sky because they didn't have Sky.

It was probably a weekend, as we usually went over there on a Sunday.

I would be obliged if anyone could remember the exact date that this was on telly back then.

    Thanks

It was meant as a joke for After Hours, but I'll bet one of the bookworms
in the TV forum will actually get the date it was on!

Sounds like the gritty viewing that would have been on after the 9.00 news on Saturday night.
Kenny Live not on so its summer / early autumn time. 9.30 PM, September 1st.

Bookworms are in the literature forum. We're just unemployed and loving it.

My grandad used to read The Evening Press. Don't know if that's any use, but it might help remind someone of something.

I think there might have been a bowl of peas from the packet with the salt tablet in the kitchen at the time. Or it might have been jelly. Mind you, that would imply that it was a Saturday, as my granny would be getting the Sunday dinner ready the night before.
