Thinking of moving on a few late calvers.

Calving in March 2015 to AI Lim bull.

    Born 2007. Limousin X cows.

    700 - 800 kgs.

Any idea what they might make in the mart selling as in calf cows?

Won't they be worth at least €1,100 - €1,400 in the factory, so I think at 850 you are a bit off!!

In my local mart yesterday Good quality Chx and Lmx cows between 700 - 800kgs were making 1.70 - 1.95 €/KG. I haven't seen any in calf cows sold this year but I'd imagine good quality ones are making decent money but not much for lesser quality.

Sorry I didn't see the weight you had down, are they fleshy? I bought a couple of blk LM cows calving in March to LM bull this time last yr for around the 900 mark, all around 700kgs, maybe It was a one off, not trying to insult your cows or anything

depending on cows and taking account current market prob should be worth €1400-€1600, but at the moment you could struggle to see €1200

seen a few good limx cows with CH bull calves at foot and calving in feb going for 1800-2100 about 6 weeks ago

are you going to sale in ballymote with them

Unfortunately I don't think they will ever calve down. If they have any flesh on they will probably end up on the hook as imo 6 months is too long of a keep on them before they calve.
