I bought a bush tv in argos a while back and it has been working great until today when it 'turned off' and wont turn on again. I have unplugged it and made sure that other appliances worked in the socket, I have used the on switch at the back of the tv to no avail. It is still within warranty, but I'm hoping that some one here can help. When i press the on button the red standby light doesnt even come on. Its as if the tv has just died. Anyone know what may have caused this or any way to fix it?

Moved to Terrestrial TV, Not sure where else to put faulty TVs.

But have you checked the fuse in the plug?
Also is it within the warranty period, if so just return it.

Had a similar problem with a faulty BUSH TV last year.
There was power getting to the main TV motherboard but it was not switching on.
Spotted a small 5A fuse on the incoming power, tested it and found that it was blown.
Wasn't easily replaced due to an awkward holder on it, so instead I soldered a replacement fuse in parallel to it.
    Works perfectly now.
Worth checking if the TV has this fuse and if its ok

    And invalidated the warranty.

As the TV was over 5 years old at the time, I'm pretty sure the warranty was well expired
