They're really nice, and just when I was getting ready to buy an amphibian! What kind of price range are we talking, I'm guessing a good bit more expensive?

Don't know the price yet ... the last ones were about 140 Euro for the three hand and 180 for the GMT ..but that had a titanium case back then

Thanks peasant always liked the look of yours and spent a good bit of time scouring the internet looking for one. Really like the cream dial but the flieger style dial is very nice too and would sort of scratch my flieger itch till I have the funds for a stowa.

    was looking for a GMT

Was gonna buy the Steinhart, but already have a Steinhart, so this might suit

just keep in mind that this isn't a real GMT. The 24h hand can't be set independently ...you need the inner bezel to set the different time zone.

Did you pay in dollars or rubly? Some bright spark on TZ-UK has pointed out that their website hasn't caught up with the slipping exchange rate. The watch above is quoted at $199.18 and R6928 - the latter seems to convert to $138. That also seems to put a classic Amphibia at something like 31 quid. Must resist...

I always pay in Ruble when buying from Meranom ...since Euro isn't an option, one imperialist's money is as good as the other's :D

A very good looking automatic with 24hr function for a smidge over €110 (if paying in Rubles) - bargain imo.

Bargain ain't in it. Then again our Peasant* is a quare man for quality and a bargain.

Up too early today, too much free time - went shopping and bought it. According to the Meranom site there is only one left.

Just be aware that shipping will take a while.
It's a week just to Moscow, then customs there may sit on it for another week and up to two more weeks of travel before you finally get it ...so it may be after Christmas when you finally have it on your wrist.

Looks like option to buy in Rubles has been removed from site.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,819 ✭✭✭✭peasant

Not surprised ..the Rubel has fallen like a stone over the last few days.

    Currently it's $ 185 or € 150 ...still a very good price

use ru.meranom.com for prices in Rubles.

meh - just read this on wus

'You can log into the Russian site and the order confirmation will come up with your international address but when you go to their checkout site "2Checkout" it reverts all prices to Euros and the price changes from the Rouble prices from the Russian site to the prices quoted on the international site.'

My K-34 arrived today, 18 days in total. Not too bad considering it took eleven days to reach Moscow.
