    Question is in the title.

Ive seen a job that I'm interested in and I fit the requirements. The issue is I would be reporting into my dad's cousin, we would be quite close too so its not as if she's someone I don't see from one end of the year to the other.

Is this too close for comfort?

It all depends on what your work ethic is like.

I worked with two husband and wife combinations
One was a disaster. He was our boss. And she was totally unprofessional

The other couple were totally professional you would not even know they were married..

Other people may have issues with it but once you do your job I should think there will be no problem.

I would stay well clear of relatives that I'd have to report to. Too many variables that can bite you one way or another.

I personally would be ok with it but I won't do it if she's not comfortable.
As I said, our families are quite close so its not as if we won't mix with each other outside work.

I wouldn't work with any of my extended family I wouldn't give them the satisfaction of giving me orders
