I would appreciate any help interpreting the results and where to go from here.

    C1 dry = 220, wet = 220
    C2 dry = 210, wet = 205
    C3 dry = 220, wet = 240
    C4 dry = 212, wet = 230
    C5 dry = 50, wet = 52
    C6 dry = 210, wet = 202

    misfire errors from cylinder 5

head gasket? valve damage? cracked block?

hard to say what the problem is, but at least now you know where it is.

Dry and wet test would point towards valve or head problem. Piston would be likely to be ok.

A leak test could be done might identify exhause valve or inlet valve but the best bet would be to take off the head and inspect you'll have to replace the head gasket anyway

yes finally i know where the problem is lol after months of trying stuff.

I'm thinking a damaged valve. No other signs of a headgasket or cracked block but i guess ill know a lot more when i whip off the head.

Yes i think ill whip off the head. I better research that first as i guess ill need a new gasket and screws.
Not sure of what scope i have to do stuff, once the head is off. I have a lot of mechanical experience but not on car engines. Will i be able to access the valves and play with them etc. to see the issues that may be there?

Your going beyond my abilities. I think your chain driven cams once the chain is free the head will pull off after you have undone all the head bolts. Your options after that is down to the damage you find.

With the head off you can test the valves for leaks by pouring a little petrol over them if there is a leak the petrol will drop quickly you can compair towards other cylinders valves in head.

I would suggest posting on a bmw forum for someone with experience of 6 pot engine.
