Hi OP, I'm going to move this thread to a more suitable forum where you'll likely get better advice.

I wore this top (link below) to my Dads retirement do at the weekend with a gorgeous pair of cropped black pants from Zara and high black heels. Usually i'd wear dresses for things like that/out for dinner/a show but with the top the outfit was smart and dressy.

I wore a longish bandeau top underneath it.

I was at a function recently and there was a lady wearing a really well cut jumpsuit. It looked really well on her.

Yes I think if you find the right fit jumpsuits can look great.

The other option I like is jacquard trousers, elegant heels and simple top. Wallis have some and Zara usually have them. They also have a few jumpsuits.

    Hi ladies

I was asked to attend the World Adventure Travel Summit meetings very recently and talk about a variety of outfits, from the very casual to the super-formal. People just wore what they felt comfortable in. You would most certainly look smart in dressy pants and a comfy, dressy, nice-top. Don't go OTT on the jewellery though. A nice chain and some small-ish earrings tend to look better.
Do you have a linkie for the top?

    Hope that helps,
    kerry4sam
